Sotsiaalmeediasse on pandud video, kuidas eilse laupäeva, 17. mai õhtul sõitis New Yorgis suur purjekas vastu Brooklyni silda.

Õnnetuses hukkus kaks ja sai vigastada kümneid inimesi. Kokku oli laeva pardal 277 inimest.

Vigastada said madrused, kes olid roninud laeva mastide otsa, mis pooleks murdusid.

Tegemist oli Mehhiko mereväe õppepurjekaga Cuauhtémoc. Õnnetus juhtus New Yorgist lahkudes.
