USA õhujõudude globaalse rünnaku väejuhatus viis eilse teisipäeva, 18. aprilli õhtul läbi mandritevahelise ballistilise raketi Minuteman III operatiivtesti.

Plaanilise testimise ajal lasti Vandenbergi baasist välja ilma lõhkepeata rakett, mille stardikäsk anti USA mereväe lennukilt E-6B Mercury.
