Sotsiaalmeediasse on pandud video maavärinast Filipiinidel, kus majad inimeste silme all sõna otseses mõttes kokku varisesid.
Meedia teatel hukkus võimsas 8,1-magnituudises maavärinas vähemalt 32 inimest.
Pärast põhitõuget registreeriti üle 130 järeltõuke, mille magnituud oli kuni 6,7. Vigastada sai üle 200 inimese ning suured hooned kõikusid nagu pappkarbid, varisedes kohati otse inimeste silme all kokku.
Filipiinidel oli täna koolides esimene koolipäev, seetõttu kogesid maavärinat lapsed.
