Iisrael käivitas seoses tänase laupäevase, 7. oktoobri rünnakuga operatsiooni „Swords of Iron” (tõlkes: Raudmõõgad).

Operatsiooni eesmärk on kaitsta tsiviilelanikke Iisraeli tabanud rünnaku eest.

Peaminister Benjamin Netanyahu edastas pöördumise, milles märkis, et riik on sõjas.
