Alates 11. novembrist muudab Soome poolt väljastatav Schengeni viisakleebis välimust ja tuleva aasta veebruarist hakkab viisa kehtima viis aastat.
Muutusest teatas ajakirjanikele sellel nädalal Soome Peterburi peakonsulaadi viisaosakonna juhataja Anneli Nummelin, vahendab Fontanka.
Tähtsam uuendus jõustub tuleva aasta 2. veebruaril. Siis hakkab kehtima uut viisakoodeks. Taotluse saab esitada kuus kuud enne kavandatavat reisi ning viisat on võimalik taotleda viieks aastaks.
Viieaastane Schengen antakse välja neile, kellel on juba olnud kaheaastane Soome viisa, mida kasutati kõigi reeglite kohaselt ilma rikkumisteta.
Praegu väljastab Soome viieaastase viisa vaid teatud isikutele. Alates 1. septembrist muutusid Schengeni viisa taotlemise nõuded rangemaks, pikem viisa aitab seda ebamugavust kompenseerida.
Soome välisministeerium otsustas peatada Tais metsamarjade korjajate Schengeni viisade taotluste vastuvõtmise. Peatamine kehtib kõikidele taotlejatele Bangkokis asuva Soome saatkonna jurisdiktsiooni alla kuuluvates riikides: Tais, Kambodžas ja Myanmaris.
