Pühakirja järgi kinkis Jumal juudi rahvale maa Niilusest kuni Eufrateseni, ehk praktiliselt terve Lähis-Ida, aga juudid pärinevad geneetiliselt hoopis Lätist, selgub USA Iisraeli suursaadiku Mike Huckabee intervjuust ajakirjanikule Tucker Carlsonile.

Huckabee nõustus väitega, et Jumal kinkis juudi rahvale praktiliselt kogu Lähis-Ida, nagu on kirjas pühakirjas. Ta ütles, et on õige, kui Iisrael võtab ära kogu selle maa.

Samas aga on see Carlsoni väitel natuke imelik, kuna enamus juute pärineb geneetiliselt hoopis Lätist, Leedust ja Poolast ning on Iisraeli kolinud alles viimastel aastakümnetel. Palestiinlased on aga geneetiliselt oma kodumaal elanud tuhandeid aastaid.

Näiteks Iisraeli peaministril Benjamin Netanyahul ehk Bibil ja tema perel pole Iisraeliga varasemast mingit pistmist, nad pole seal elanud ega isegi praktiseerinud judaismi. Nad pole rääkinud seda keelt. Nad on pärit Leedust.
