Euroopa peab hakkama end kaitsma ilma USA abita, ütles Saksa kantsleri kandidaat Friedrich Merz.
Merz kritiseeris teravalt USA praegust valitsust ja ütles, et prioriteet on järk-järgult sõltumatuse saavutamine USA-st, mis ei hooli enam Euroopast.
Samuti ütles Merz, et pole kindel, milline saab olema NATO tulevik. Ta ei välistanud, et Euroopa peab looma oma sõjalise liidu.
