Liibanonis on puhkenud paanika ja tekkinud järjekorrad haiglates, kuna sadade sõjaväelaste piiparid plahvatasid.
Kokku plahvatas ligi 5000 piiparit. Haiglasse on viidud ligi 3000 inimest. Kümmekond inimest said surma. Tegemist arvatakse olevat Iisraeli sabotaažiga.
Väidetavalt oli Iisrael häkkinud piipareid ja pannud nende akud plahvatama. Teine võimalus on, et piiparitesse olid lõhkekehad eelnevalt tehases sisse pandud.
Piiparid on väiksed vidinad, mida kasutatakse operatiivse info edastamiseks.
Kardetakse, et Iisrael valmistub sõjaks Liibanoniga.
