Läti saatis eile reedel, 12. jaanuaril välja 82-aastase Putini fänni Boriss Katkovi, kel pole Läti kodakondsust.
Pensionär toetab avalikult Vene presidenti Vladimir Putinit ja teda peetakse ohuks Läti riiklikule julgeolekule.
Mees saabus eile Pihkvasse koos oma pojaga.
Samasugust väljasaatmist ootab Lätis veel ligi tuhat vanainimest, kel pole Läti kodakondsust ja kes ei ole suutnud ära õppida läti keelt.
Mehel jäid Lätti maha naine, lapsed ja lapselapsed. Ta ütles, et tagasiteed Lätti tal enam pole.
Mees suundus algul Pihkvasse, aga lubas edasi sõita Kaliningradi, kus elavad tema tuttavad. Ta ütles, et Lätis toimuvad sarnased protsessid nagu olid varem Ukrainas.
